Many verbs, nouns, and adjectives are followed by a particular preposition before a noun, noun phrase, pronoun or verb + -ing:
verb, noun, adj တွေရဲ့ နောက်၊ noun, noun phrase, pronoun, -ing တို့ရဲ့ ရှေ့မှာ သီးသန့်ဝိဘတ် လိုက်ပါလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။ (V/N/Adj + preposition + N/NPhr/ProN/-ing လို့ ပုံစံ ထုတ်နိုင်)

The film reminded me of my childhood.
He apologised to them for damaging their car.

There are no clear rules to help you decide which prepositions to use: the best strategy is to learn the preposition with the word. Examples given in a dictionary will show how they are used.
အထက်က ပုံစံတွေမှာ ဘယ်ဝိဘတ်ကို သုံးရမယ်ဆိုတာ ကူညီဆုံးဖြတ်ပေးတဲ့ စည်းမျဉ်းက ရှင်းရှင်းလင်းလင်း မရှိပါဘူး။ အကောင်းဆုံး နည်းလမ်းကတော့ ဝိဘတ်ကို စကားလုံးတွေနဲ့ တွဲပြီး လေ့လာဖို့ပါ။ အဘိဓာန်ထဲက နမူနာတွေက အသုံးပြုပုံကို ပြပေးပါလိမ့်မယ်။

Here are some common words + prepositions ( sb = somebody; sth = something).
ဟောဒါတွေက အတွေ့ရများတဲ့ ဝေါဟာရ+ဝိဘတ်တွဲ ပုံစံတွေပါ။
